A far-flung leaf-spring suspension fork, followed by a popular gravel bike called the True Grit, are what first put Lauf on the map.
Now the Icelandic brand has introduced a new model called the Anywhere, which extols all of the virtues of the True Grit albeit with more of a focus on the road.
The being said, the Anywhere’s frame draws all of its DNA from the True Grit, sans the front suspension in favor of Lauf’s newly designed JAF (Just A Fork) fork and Smoothie handlebar to thwart unwanted feedback from the road.
In the case of the Smoothie, it comprises a carbon fiber infused material Lauf calls High-End S2 Fiberglass that’s designed to give the handlebar even more compliance when it comes to controlling harsh terrain.
“Smoothie eats vibrations and softens the hit from potholes”, says Lauf.
The Anywhere is offered in three models called the Core, Weekend Warrior and Race, with prices ranging from $2690 for the SRAM Apex 1 equipped Core to $5340 for the range-topping Race that comes built-up with a Shimano XT Di2 groupset.
