In recognition of Laurent Jalabert’s 1992 Tour de France victory in Brussels, LOOK has unveiled a special edition version of its 795 Blade Rs called the Ciel du Nord, aka Northern Sky.
“This edition is inspired by a moment of grace: Laurent Jalabert’s first victory in 1992. Between Roubaix and Brussels, this dantesque route saw the champion triumph under a surreal light. The grey-blue and pink palette captures this mythical sky immortalized in photography. But beyond the race, this limited edition is a LOOK tribute to the fervor of a people, the raw beauty of its landscapes, and the resilience of riders on this land of soul. It is an ode to the red bricks, the unforgiving cobbles, and the unique atmosphere that makes the North the heart of the cycling world,” says the iconic French brand.
Hand-painted at LOOK’s facility in Nevers, France, the Ciel du Nord is equipped with a Shimano Ultegra Di2 electronic groupset and Mavic Cosmic S42 Carbon wheels shod with Continental GP 5000 TLR 28mm tires, along with LOOK’s own cockpit and a set of KEO Blade Ceramic pedals.
Additionally, each bike comes with a Ciel du Nord jigsaw puzzle and a matching tote bag for $10,700.00.
