Call it an extreme case of jingoism, or a passion for barbershop nostalgia, but Mavic has launched a new La France kit collection in all manner of blue, red and white.
The La France kit not only consists of the traditional pairing of a matching jersey and bibshort, but similarly adds a complimentary cap, socks and performance road shoe to the ensemble as well.
The La France jersey features Mavic’s ultra-wicking Pro Fit fabric that includes open mesh sleeves, three ergonomic rear pockets plus an extra zippered pocket, while the bibshort comprises the company’s Ergo 3D Pro chamois and wide elastic finishing on the thighs, finished in supple, Italian-made fabric for optimal comfort and body support.
The La France road shoe is based on Mavic’s Cosmic Pro SL, which features a full carbon sole, micro-adjustable Ergo Dials and a supple yet supportive upper.
According to Mavic, the jersey and bibshorts sell for $120 and $160, while the cap, socks and road shoes retail for $20, $15 and $259 respectively.
