Officine Mattio and Classified Form New Partnership

The Officiine Mattio and Classified have formed a new partnership, marking the first collaboration between an Italian bike company and a Belgian component specialist, Classified’s innovative wireless gearing system and carbon wheelsets on its range of road and gravel bikes.

Classified’s drivetrain replaces the traditional front derailleur with a wireless, 2-speed system which is integrated into the rear wheel hub, resulting in instantaneous gear changes that’s compatible with 11 and 12 speed rear derailleurs, earning the company both the Eurobike Gold Award and the Design and Innovation Award this year.

“The bikes of Officine Mattio are a true piece of art. It’s great to see the beautiful Italian design being combined with Classified, giving riders the opportunity to customize their bike with the best technology out there,” says Mathias Plouvier, CEO of Classified Cycling.

According to Officine Mattio, Classified’s system will be offered on its OM1 S, Lemma and SL road models, as well as its Santiago C gravel bike.

“The offer of cutting-edge products, in line with the latest trends and technologies available on the market, is part of our commitment to the Officine Mattio consumer,” explains CEO Giovanni Monge Roffarello. “Today we are the first Italian bike manufacturer to launch the new Classified shifting system. We believe that this innovative technology is a perfect fit for our customers, giving them the best solutions to customize their Officine Mattio bikes.”
