Pinarello Lifts the Curtains on New Dogma F Road Bike

Pinarello has lifted the curtains on its latest flagship Dogma F road bike with key updates that include a better aerodynamic signature and less weight courtesy of new tube shapes and profiles, while clearance has been increased to accommodate tires up to 30mm. The bike also features the Italian brand’s newest MOST Talon Ultra Fast integrated handlebar.

The new Dogma F ditches the tried-and-true Torayca T1100 1K carbon construction in favor of a new Toray M40X carbon fiber, which Pinarello claims has a 53gpa (Gigapascals) tensile-strength advantage, enabling it “to reach the next level of lateral stiffness performance”.

Other notable changes include a revamped downtube and a new “Aero-Keel’ bottom bracket, a bellowing junction that’s designed to increase both stiffness and aerodynamics, resulting in minor improvements in the bike’s CdA (coefficient of aerodynamic drag).

“After several revisions, we have reduced the new Dogma F’s CdA by a claimed 0.2% (a weighted average figure taken from data across different yaw angles), while also reducing the overall frameset weight by 108g,” says Pinarello, with a size 53 tipping the scales at a feathery 860g unpainted.

Elsewhere, the Dogma F sticks with an Italian threaded bottom bracket, a T20 Torx bolt seatpost clamp and 1.5in upper and 1 ¼ lower headset bearings, while the fork steerer tube now sees an elliptical shape and a new cover to channel the hydraulic hoses through the headset.

Regarding geometry, the new Dogma F mostly preserves the same angles as the outgoing Dogma F, albeit with a new 47mm fork rake (up from 43mm), to increase the bike’s stability on descents.

Offered in disc brake only, the Dogma F will be available in three colorways, Edge, Fade and Cut, along with the same range of 11 sizes with complete bikes starting at $14,000, or as a frameset only for $6,950.
