Pinarello has rolled-out its latest range of bikes dubbed the X Series, targeting light gravel cyclists and endurance riders alike thanks to a more relaxed geometry and ample enough clearance to accommodate tires up to a beefy 32mm.
In addition to having a relaxed geometry and placing more rubber between the rider and the road, the X Series also benefits from Toray T600 carbon fiber, a modulus that Pinarello specifically chose for its compliance in key areas of the frame, particularly the rear triangle which features the Italian brand’s “Flex Stay” technology that’s aimed at reducing vibration.
Elsewhere, the X Series relies on truncated “flatback” aerofoil tubing to ensure a proper aerodynamic signature, while a tapered head tube and seat tube, as well as a proprietary aero seatpost with a 3D-printed clamp, further punctuates the range.
Other features that highlight the X-Series include Pinarello’s fully internal “TiCR” cable routing and Onda-style fork, a wavy design that’s been synonymous with the vaunted Italian marque for decades.
The X Series is available in two guises, the X1 and X3, which further breakdown into a number of build options.
