Polar announced the launch of its new Bluetooth enabled M450 bike computer today, which also offers such key features as GPS, altitude and heart rate monitoring capabilities, along with an integrated LED light.
In addition, users can input their training metrics, which the M450 can in turn provide personal training guidance. The new device also offers customizable views on the display.
But, perhaps most importantly, the M450 is compatible with Polar’s Bluetooth Smart sensors, which include H7 for heart rate, speed and cadence sensors, and their Keo Power pedal system.
The M450 also has GPS capabilities and built-in barometer for accuracy with minimal power consumption. Furthermore, it has a Back-to-Start feature, which can guide cyclists home after a long ride.
Another interesting feature of the M450, is its training guidance capabilities, which includes detailed analysis of training metrics through Polar’s online training tool for coaches and personal trainers – called Flow.
Lastly, starting in October, Polar plans to bring Strava integration/connectivity to the M450 as well.
Polar is expected to have the M450 available sometime mid-summer, with a suggested retail price of $189.95, and $219.95 with their H7 heart rate sensor, along with changeable accessory covers in black, yellow and red.
