Taking queues from its top-tier, all-around aero bike the Falcn RS, Ridley has launched a more affordable version simply dubbed the Falcn, offering enthusiasts the same frameset, geometry and aerodynamic signature as its more expensive brethren for considerably less.
In order to reduce cost, the Falcn relies on slightly less premium carbon fiber, which carries a weight penalty of 165 grams, along with a standard seatpost that forgoes the aero, D-shaped profile found on the Falcn RS. Otherwise, the Falcn carries over the same features such as fully integrated cable routing through the headset, Ridley’s distinctive diffuser fork crown and dropped seatstays. Plus, it also gets UDH tech for maximum drivetrain compatibility. There’s also plenty clearance to accommodate tires up to a beefy 34mm.
The Falcn is available in five size ranging from XS to XL, wherein customers can use Ridley’s online configurator to select colors and paint schemes, as well as their preferred groupset, wheels, handlebar, saddle, tires and more, with complete builds starting at 3400€ for a Shimano mechanical 105 1×12 equipped bike with alloy Forza Norte wheels and Deda’s 2-piece Zero 2 handlebar and versatile Superbox modular stem.
For customers looking for something more upscale, the Falcn can be had with an Ultegra Di2 groupset, 45mm carbon DT Swiss ERC 1600 wheels for 6300€, or with a SRAM Force AXS build that’s shod with the same wheels for 6800€.
