Roval has launched two new wheelsets called the C38 Rapide and Control Carbon, offering full-carbon hoops for both road and off-road enthusiasts at price points that won’t break the bank.
The C38 Rapide merges Roval’s tough, sensibly aerodynamic, workhorse C38 rims with the dependable performance of DT Swiss 370 hubs and J-bend spokes, resulting in excellent aerodynamic properties and proven lightweight durability for $1000.
The C38 Rapide also shares Roval’s tubeless-ready, 21mm internal rim that’s optimized for wider tires, providing ideal sidewall support and handling in any riding conditions.

For those who prefer the road less traveled, Roval offers the Control Carbon, which features the brand’s Control SL rim with the new DT Swiss 350 hubs that are ideally suited to open terrain, climbs and berms.
Carried over from their World Cup proven Control SL flagship wheelset, the Control Carbon features the same zero-bead-hook design and 29mm-inner width. Also, by choosing a unique combination of composite materials and engineering a layup schedule with continuous fiber across the sidewall, Roval was able to maximize strength, ride quality and durability while keeping weight to a minimum.
Additionally, Roval continues its partnership with the proven and trusted technology of DT Swiss, utilizing a full system approach to the wheel, while also combining the brand’s award-winning rim with a new 350 hub featuring a 36 tooth Star Ratchet.
