Already known for its 3D-printed saddles, handlebar tape, brake pads and bespoke aluminum components, Rule has entered the wheel segment with the launch of its new Wave Carbon wheelset.
“The Wave Carbon was designed to meet the demands of the contemporary cyclist: a perfect balance of lightness, performance, and versatility — with no compromises,” says Rule.
Weighing in at an impressive 1390 grams, the Wave Carbon’s spoke system features an asymmetric configuration with 20 flat spokes (14 crossed on the drive side and 6 radial on the non-drive side) that’s designed to optimize power transmission, increase lateral stiffness and ensure precise handling in every condition, making the new wheelset equally at home on gravel roads as it is on the tarmac.
The Wave Carbon profile is the wheelset’s defining feature. Developed to reduce aerodynamic drag and improve stability in crosswind conditions, it works in perfect synergy with the spoke structure, contributing to a wheel that is balanced and efficient in every detail.
“The Wave shape of the carbon profile is not only an aesthetic choice: it is the result of development work aimed at reducing the resistance to advance while maintaining stability in lateral wind conditions. A profile that works in synergy with the structure of the spokes, returning a wheel consistent in each of its elements from the rim to the hub,” boasts the Italian brand.
There’s no word on pricing and availability for the Wave Carbon for these shores, but you can contact Rule here for more information.
