Cyclists no longer need to fear the throes of cold winter riding thanks to Santini’s new Vega Absolute jacket.
A new addition to the 2021/22 winter collection and the product of Santini’s longstanding partnership with Polartec the Vega Absolute is designed for extreme weather conditions and offers superior protection not just from the cold and wind but from the rain too.
The Vega Absolute is designed to tackle cold, wind and rain with ease thanks to its Polartec Power Shield Pro fabric which is water resistant (water column pressure: 5,000 mm), light and breathable. This unique material offers great protection without the stiff hand and loud noise of a traditional hard shell, while the Power Shield Pro air permeable functional layer can easily release excess body heat and humidity, created by perspiration, for superb breathability. It also offers exceptional wind protection the wearer’s body stays both dry and warm inside the jacket even in wind and rain.
Additionally, the Vega Absolute jacket has an extra outer windproof layer with a water-repellent treatment on the chest, neck and back pocket areas. Its high collar is designed for maximum protection in bad weather too and has a raw edge (seamless) for optimal comfort. Also, the sleeve cuffs feature a raw edge with an ergonomic shape at the wrist, while reflective details on the chest area near the pocket and the Santini logo on the left shoulder keep the wearer visible on the road as does the choice of fluorescent yellow for sections of the chest, neck, back pocket and Santini logo on the back. The jacket is further rounded out with a zipped waterproof pocket on the chest keeps valuables safe and dry.
