Scott has updated its Foil aero road bike for 2021, extolling full cable integration, a redesigned fork and increased tire clearance as its hallmarks of achievement.
Retaining the same features as the out-going model, the updated Foil is treated to Syncros’ Creston iC SL integrated handlebar, allowing for the integration of both shifting and brake cables, routing them internally through the head tube, frame and fork for an ultra-clean front end.
“The new Foil has the same well-proven lightweight and aerodynamic frame as the previous version and is still amongst the lightest aero bikes on the market. In order to minimize its air drag and to make it even more outstanding it got a completely new cockpit (fork, headset and handlebar) which allows for fully internal cable routing both for mechanical and electronic shifting, ” says Scott.
As mentioned, tire clearance has been increased for this year’s Foil, which can now accommodate rubber up to 30mm.
The Foil will be available in four models, the Pro, 10, 20 and 30, with the Pro featuring Scott’s high-end HMX blend of carbon fiber, while the rest get the Swiss company’s second tier HMF carbon.
