As someone who has ridden a carbon-only saddle for more than 15 years now, I can attest to the validity of its comfort – with the caveat of course, that it’s not everyone.
Having said that, it’s nice to see that certain companies such as Selle Italia recognize this, and continue to push the boundaries of carbon saddle development.
The latest example of this, is the Italian brand’s new C59, which they say is not only an anatomical work of art, but quite possibly the world’s lightest saddle at just 63g.
While I can’t say for sure how the large cut-away area might feel (my concern is that one’s testicoli might hang in the balance 😛), I’m certain some weight-weenie on a quest to have the lightest bike will be willing to give it a try.
Was that a double entendre?
