After much anticipation, Swiss Side has announced the launch of its new HADRON2 DISC rear wheel that’s aimed at triathletes and time trialists alike.
According to Swiss Side, while the HADRON2 Disc is naturally focussed at setting a new benchmark in aerodynamic performance, it also represents advancements in structural design thanks to an asymmetrical lenticular shape that is hollow inside, along with twin foam sandwich construction outer walls. The result is construction that not only delivers ultra-light weight, but also high lateral stiffness for optimum power transfer.
“At Swiss Side, we make it our goal to deliver maximum performance for the best value for money. The development and production of a DISC rear wheel took so long because it is a very complex and expensive process. Yet we never lost sight of releasing this unique product and we are thrilled to finally be able to offer our customers the unrivalled speed and sensations riding a DISC rear wheel can bring,” says Jean-Paul Ballard, CEO of Swiss Side.
New HADRON2 DISC Rear Wheel for disc brake:
“Maximum aerodynamic performance, reduced drag in a straight line and further enhanced sailing effect in the wind. The wheel uses an asymmetrical lenticular shape that is hollow inside, with twin foam sandwich outer walls for minimum weight, maximum stiffness and optimum power transfer,” boasts Swiss Side
New HADRON2 DISC Rear Wheel for rim brake:
Like the disc brake variant, the rim brake wheel features the same asymmetrical lenticular shape that is hollow inside, with twin foam sandwich outer walls.
It is made exclusively from premium aerospace materials, including T1000 and M46J carbon fibers with high temperature resistant resin systems laid around featherweight Rohacell cores.
The end product guarantees minimum weight, maximum stiffness and optimum power transfer.
The HADRON2 DISC rear wheels are now available for order.
