Time has debuted its latest model called the ADHX, marking the vaunted French brand’s first foray into the gravel/all-road segment.
Boasting to have the world’s strongest carbon fiber, the new ADHX utilizes the innovative material, Dyneema, which is designed to bolster the strength of the carbon without sacrificing stiffness or weight, along with Time’s renown braided carbon structure (BCS) and Resin Transfer Molding (RTM) fabrication processes, techniques that allow for total control over the types of carbon that are used to create multidirectional fiber braids.
“Dyneema has been making headlines in the cycling news for a few years now, but to date very few manufacturers have been able to incorporate this advanced material in their products,” says Time.
“In addition, the high temperatures used for curing prepreg frames is above the recommended maximum for Dyneema fibers,” Time adds. “The tight profitability of commodities dictates that unique or expensive products that are not in wide demand are simply not worth producing.”
The ADHX is designed to be compatible with both 1x and 2x drivetrains without leaving unsightly frame holes or an empty derailleur mount thanks to Time’s Single Cover for 1x setups.
Additionally, Time uses forged carbon instead of steel or alloy alone for its hardware, resulting in 20 times the fatigue life of just metal.
To wit, “a 60% fiber content allows drilling and threading without cracking, processes that are much more challenging with prepreg construction,” explains Time.
According to Time, the disc brake-specific ADHX tips the scales at 1025 grams, a pretty impressive figure for a frame tasked with all-terrain duties, which is available in five sizes and a number of stunning colorways for $3,799.00.

ADHX
TIME’s debut gravel bike has quickly notched several victories – our ADHX (Alpe d’Huez X) is the first of its kind to incorporate Bio-Based Dyneema, the World’s Strongest Fiber, to build a better performing machine. It’s the first to utilize braided carbon structure (BCS) manufacturing, a TIME exclusive that outperforms traditional carbon prepreg construction in almost every way by incorporating several types of fiber into each multidirectional braid. The ADHX is firstin quality and tolerance control thanks to our highly accurate resin transfer moulding (RTM) process and is manufactured entirely in the EU using one of the most sustainable manufacturing processes in the industry. TIME’s first performance gravel offering is more than a cursory nod – in many ways the arrival of the ADHX makes it the clear leader in a very crowded field – with pedigree to spare, an iconic look and an attitude eager to make a splash.
Bio-Based DYNEEMA Fiber is Lighter, Stronger and Smarter
Dyneema fiber is 15x stronger than steel at the same weight and is so light that it floats on water. The promise of integrating Dyneema in carbon structures has been making headlines for years now, but to date very few manufacturers have been able to incorporate the material. TIME is different–we aren’t reliant on materials availability from large carbon prepreg manufacturers. By weaving our own braided carbon structures (BCS) we have been able to test strands of sustainable Bio-Based Dyneema fibers since they first became available from DSM. And unlike the high temperature ovens used to cure standard prepreg frames, the lower resin temperature of the RTM injection process is well within the safe temperature range for Dyneema.
Is It Your Time?
ADHX is perfect for riders who want a top-performing “fast gravel” machine. Weight, stiffness, comfort and handling are cornerstones – as important as the knowledge that ADHX is technologically unique. Racers, All Road explorers and everyday riders seeking an experience off the tarmac will find ADHX checks the boxes.
