Canyon’s long-rumored Grail RIFT edition gravel bike that’s equipped with DT Swiss’ new F 132 ONE suspension fork has officially broken cover.
First spotted at the Traka gravel event back in March, the RIFT (aka “rough is fast tuning”) itself remains faithful to the standard Grail including Canyon’s CP0047 cockpit. However, with the edition of the F132 ONE fork, gravelers are now treated to 40mm of travel via what’s called LINEAIR positive and negative airspring dampening, relying on a PLAINGAIN cartridge with 9-clicks of rebound adjustment that controls things internally. Moreover, the fork also has a lockout feature, along with a PUSHCONTROL, allowing riders to lock and lockout the fork from multiple hand positions.
Additionally, the front brake hose and cable lockout are routed internally via the fork steerer tube to produce the same clean front end as the rigid model, while the brake hose is then routed externally along the handlebar using the Canyon gear groove cockpit to keep things even tidier. Also, there are mounts and adaptors that allow riders to fit front bags and racks to the fork – think bikepacking.
Currently only available on the European market, the RIFT is offered in only one guise that comes equipped with a Shimano GRX 825 Di2 groupset shod with DT Swiss GRC1100 wheels for 8000€.
