Vision has launched a new version of its Metron integrated handled handlebar called the Metron 5D EVO, treating it to improved ergonomics, greater stiffness, more vibration absorption and less weight, while the stack height has also been lowered to improve aerodynamics.
Vision is offering Metron 5D EVO in two size options, EVO L and the EVO XL in order to accommodate a wide range of riders.
The EVO L is available in stem lengths of 90-120mm that spans widths of 380-400mm bars, while the EVO XL is offered in stem lengths of 110-140mm and widths of 420-440mm. Both bars feature a minus six-degree angle with a 125mm drop and 80mm reach in a 3K carbon finish with black graphics.
However, the EVO XL is treated to a thicker handlebar top section.
Additionally, the Metron 5D EVO is Di2 compatible, along with an integrated junction box compartment, while the drops feature a 5mm offset and the bar itself has a 10-degree forward angle, the same as the previous generation bar.
Lastly, the Metron 5D is expected to be compatible with Vision’s ACR headset spacer, which allows riders to adapt the integrated bars to their frames and provides a workaround for internal cable routing, with pricing for the US market to be announced.
