Alongside the launch of its new 13-speed Red XPLR AXS gravel-specific groupset, SRAM’s co-brand Zipp has rolled out its latest 303 XPLR SW wheelset and XPLR handlebar, treating gravelers to the Full Monty.
In keeping with the mantra wider is faster, the 303 XPLR SW features a staggering internal rim width of 32mm, not only allowing the new set of hoops to run massive rubber but do so with less rolling resistance.
In fact, Zipp partnered with Goodyear to develop two new tires specifically for the 303s called the XPLR SLICK and the XPLR INTER, offering different tread patterns to meet the demands of any terrain or riding condition, while things spin on Zipp’s proven ZR1 hubs.
All in, Zipp claims the 303 XPLR SW weighs in at 1496g, an impressive feat for a set of wheels of this width and breadth.
However, all of this comes at a price, as the 303 XPLR SW will set you back $2100.

For those on a budget, Zipp offers a trickle-down version of the 303 XPLR SW called 303 XPLR S, albeit with a non-dimpled carbon rim and a more affordable hub that adds 150 grams to the set.

As mentioned, Zipp has also launched a new handlebar called the SL 70 XPLR, which focuses on ergonomics to meet the demands of gravel cycling including channeling that’s designed to route brake hosing underneath, while shallow, wider drops are aimed at providing comfort for the long haul. Moreover, the bar has defined locators marked along the flats and drops to make way for SRAM’s Wireless Blips option. The SL 70 XPLR sells for $320.
