Zwift Celebrates 10th Anniversary with New Features and Updates

To celebrate its 10th Anniversary, Zwift will expand its popular virtual world, Watopia. New areas will emerge from the ocean near Watopia’s coast, offering new routes for exploration during Stage 5 of the Tour of Watopia. This stage will also kick off a series of expansions celebrating a decade of Zwift’s cycling and running platform. The updates will include new routes and additional XP rewards for both live and on-demand rides

Updated Heads-Up Display (HUD) available now

In response to user feedback, Zwift has updated its Heads-Up Display (HUD). The new HUD features seven customizable metrics, such as cadence and heart rate, allowing users to tailor their display. Runners will also see improvements, including a fixed heart rate zone bar and updated data for Wahoo KICKR Run users.

New challenges

Zwift introduces new challenges accessible via the Challenges section on the Home Screen, which can be completed alongside one main challenge, such as Everest, Italy, or California.

  • Cardio Crusher – Sept 9: Includes five workouts, each under an hour. Completing all five earns 250 XP.
  • Route Chaser: The Grade – Oct 3: Involves completing five routes, including three new ones: Mayan 8, Radio Rendezvous, and Power to the Tower.

Enhanced racing experience with Zwift racing Score  

The Zwift Racing Score update aims to improve race matchmaking and competitiveness. It adjusts dynamically based on a racer’s fitness and performance, offering better matchmaking and rewards.

Zwift racing calendar Zwift Racing now includes over 100 community event organizers and features a comprehensive racing calendar:

  1. zRacing Monthly: Ongoing races with new routes each month.
  2. Zwift Racing League: A major team event with 2,610 teams participating in the 23/24 Season, featuring three rounds of six races each from September to February.
  3. Zwift World Series: Five races from September to January, offering monument racing challenges at three tiers.
  4. Zwift Games: The Zwift Championships return in March for its second year, with more details to be announced.
