Despite spurious rumors emanating from the Dutch press this week, that LottoNL – Jumbo’s yellow team jersey had been rejected by the UCI because of it’s resemblance to the yellow "leader’s" jersey worn in many of the big races, the Dutch team announced on their Twitter account today, that their jersey had in fact received approval from the UCI.
LottoNL’s manager, Richard Plugge, had previously mentioned that the team would wear a special jersey during the Tour de France, as to avoid confusion with the Tour de France’s maillot jaune.
So, how did the rumor(s) start ? Who knows ? 🙁
