Rapha has launched a series of limited edition cases specifically for carrying Apple products such as the company’s iPad and Macbook range of devices.
This is not a new collaboration between the British cycling apparel brand and the tech giant, as similar products were introduced last June. But, it’s the first time they’ve been available directly from Rapha, and not just Apple stores.
Rapha says, “each piece is designed for to transport Apple devices on and off the bike, allowing riders to move seamlessly between the streets, the office, and wherever else their wheels take them. Inspired by the design and detail of both Rapha and Apple products, they are made for life on the move.”
Alex Valdman, Rapha’s Creative Director, designed the collection by drawing on his observations of San Francisco’s cycling commuters, who often combine riding with public transportation and traveling by foot.
“The result is a collection of beautifully designed, practical luggage, which allow riders to keep their electronics to hand in any situation”, says Valdman.
“We approach the project by focussing on precessions, quality and problem-solving, while emphasizing that fact that most commuters have a journey that ranges anywhere from 4 to 40 miles.”
Each case is manufactured in Portugal with hard-wearing Italian fabrics according to Rapha’s renown attention to detail, ensuring that each piece stands up to daily riding.
