100th Edition Liège-Bastogne-Liège Receives More Prize Money

One lucky rider will received additional bonus money at this year’s 100th edition of the famous Liège-Bastogne-Liège classic.

According to André Gilles, provincial councillor and President of the Province of Liège, and Christian Prudhomme, director of cycling at Amaury Sport Organization, the first rider to cross the 100 kilometer mark will receive a €5000 bonus.

This year’s race will feature 10 climbs on the return trip from Bastogne, to include the iconic Côte de Stockeu, La Redoute and the final Côte de Saint-Nicolas – which will once again be joined by the Côte de Roche-aux-Faucons – that was absent from last year’s race as a result of road construction.
