The Dirty 40 Race is on August 30th, 2014 in Derby, Vermont. With a field limit of 500 riders, this 60 mile unsanctioned gravel road race covers 40 miles of gravel back roads through some of the most scenic pristine landscapes of Vermont. The Dirty 40 Race unites riders of all abilities and disciplines from racers to riders and includes road, cyclocross, singlespeed, tandem, and mountain bikes. Categories for podium include Mens Overall, Womens Overall, Mens 40+, Womens 40+, Mens 60+, Womens 60+, Tandem, and Singlespeed. There is no prize purse but bragging rights are bestowed. The $40 registration fee includes: neutral support and broomwagon assistance, fully supported feedzone with passed water bottles, meal and live music at the Apres-Velo party located at the finish, timing chip, trophy and jersey for winners.
