In keeping with other premium, European automobile manufacturers, Alfa Romeo has commissioned their own special edition bicycle to celebrate the design of it’s 4C road car.
While the bikes bear the namesake of the auto maker, they’re actually produced by the Italian company, Compagnia Ducale. Their collaboration has produced both a road version, as well as an MTB one.
The bikes fall under the project tittle of, The Innovative Frame Design (or IFD). The design of the frames involve a unique carbon structure, wherein C shaped carbon rails taken from the design of the 4c’s frame itself, and are used in conjunction with HM40 T700 carbon tubes and steel tie rods from optimizing “structural strong points” of the frame, and to reinforce and hold it together.
According to Alfa Romeo, the bikes are made in Italy, and will retail between $4,700 – $12,000, depending on the "build kit".
