Fabric Brings New Saddles to the US Market

KEEP CALM AND STAY WELL SEATED

Little known here in the USA, the UK based brand, Fabric, is targeting these shores to bring their innovative line of saddles to market.

Fabric plans to offer three main saddle models called the Cell, Scoop and Line.

The Cell is designed primarily for riders who like to ride in a more upright position, while the Line is best suited for those who ride in a relatively low position.

In the case of the Cell, Fabric utilizes technology obtained from a leading athletics footwear company, in order to create a unique honeycomb construction with air chambers built into the polyurethane top – that will provide riders with extra cushioning and comfort.

According to Fabric, “It’s like having the effect of a gel saddle, but without the extra weight of gel.”

The Scoop represents Fabric’s middle of the road saddle, which will be offered in three different "curves", or "profiles"; namely Flat, Shallow and Radius, in order to offer riders even more options to find the "perfect perch".

In addition, Fabric is hard at work putting together a customization program, wherein customers will be able to choose their own color combinations and/or base, rails, cover and logos.

Unique, full length Dual-pad design. Waterproof micro fibre cover vacuum bonded onto independent, lightweight, foam panels. Ultra lightweight, ergonomic and supremely comfortable. Coming September 2014.

Developed with a central channel to decrease pressure on the pudendal artery, the Line saddle is designed for riders that spend long periods in the saddle or ride in one position. 2 piece lightweight foam pads provide superior comfort and reinforced fibre-nylon base combined with hollow rails keeps weight to a minimum.

The Scoop is a mid-width saddle designed to provide flexibility and comfort in all disciplines of modern cycling. It is the perfect balance of comfort, performance and simplicity.

THREE PART CONSTRUCTION

All of our Scoop saddles share the same simple three part manufacturing process; they comprise of a cover, base and rail. This minimal manufacturing technique removes any staples, excess material and other imperfections synonymous with previous saddle construction.

COVER

BASE MATERIAL

You have two choices for base material, carbon or nylon. Our carbon base features on our Ultimate spec saddles. The nylon base comes in a variety of colours and appears on Elite, Race and Pro spec levels.

CARBON

Used on our Ultimate spec saddle, our super light-weight, carbon fibre has highly flexible characteristics and is renowned for absorbing small vibrations. Uni-directional lay-up in its raw form for a state-of-the-art finish.

NYLON

Featured on our Elite, Race and Pro saddles this lightweight and highly-flexible, fibre re-enforced nylon increases strength and allows us to use less padding in order to create the streamlined shape that provides the basis for all Fabric saddles.
