Fondriest Launches New TF 4 Road Bike

Fondriest claims that "All Riders will Fall in Love with the TF 4".  No doubt giving the brand’s ongoing popularity amongst the cycling masses, not to mention the fact that it’s pedigree is attached to one of the most highly regarded cyclists of recent times – Maurizio Fondriest.

If I were an ecclesiastical, at first glance, I would say that this bike was made "in all manner of carbon". Indeed, Fondriest says that the frame is made entirely from 24-ton Toray carbon, to include the drop-outs, along with one of grooviest looking forks to appear since Pinarello introduced it’s Onda fork.

Note the interesting lay-up and orientation of carbon fiber around the head tube and seat tube. In addition, Fondriest even went so far as to mount a dual pivot rear brake behind the bottom bracket to improve aerodynamics.

And this is supposed to be one of Fondriest’s entry level carbon road bikes ?  Wow !

With a claimed weight of 990g in a size medium, and a suggested retail price of roughly $2,000 for the frameset and $2,900 for a complete 105 bike, Fondriest definitely puts the TF 4 within the reach of most enthusiasts. Viva Maurizio !

Overview

All riders will fall in love with the TF4, the last creation of the Fondriest laboratories, which will be talked about a lot for its top performance technological equipment and attractive design conceived by Maurizio Fondriest for all those who always want to obtain top performance from themselves and their bikes.

The TF4 builds on the experience gained from TF2 1.0 and TF3 1.2 and shares both their rationale and most of their technical contents, from high modulus UD carbon fibre to Reflex Fork. Making a step forward: the choice to use Dual Pivot Direct brakes. These brakes, which are usually mounted on top-of-the-line models, deliver a more effective braking effect than standard brakes.

Like most models of this collection, the TF4 can be equipped with both manual gear shifts and electronic devices.

The brand new TF4 is the ideal bike for those who like races, but so far have only been “dreaming” about aluminium.

They will soon discover that speed is within everyone’s reach… and you get used to it in a blink of an eye!
