Happy birthday to Marcel Kint, who was born on this day in 1914, and died on March 23, 2002.
The Belgian rider is best remembered as a one-day "classics" specialist, who won the 1938 World Championship Road Race in front of Swiss riders Paul Egli and Leo Amberg.
In addition, Kint won the 1943 Paris-Roubaix Classic in front of Jules Lowie of Belgium and Louis Thietard of France, the Ghent-Wevelgem Classic in 1949 and the Fleche Wallonne Classic in 1943, 1944, and 1945.
