Orbea Launches Orca Race Black Edition Frameset

Orbea announces the launch of a new "Black Edition" Orca Race frameset.

Due out in January, the new Race will be available in both a matte or gloss finish. In addition, Orbea will be offering it as just a frameset for $2,999, or as a complete bike starting at $4,399 for the M50 Race, and up to $10,499 for the M-LTD Race.

Overview

This new Black Matte/Gloss colorway is the stealthiest frameset that Orbea has ever offered to the public. Reminiscent of the one-off Black Mamba frameset that we created specially for Samuel Sanchez at the 2013 Giro d’ Italia, the all-black frame and fork imbue sleekness and speed. We’ve used gloss and matte clearcoat to provide some visual texture, and, if you look closely, there is just a hint of Orbea blue on the small Orca decals at the head tube and seat collar.

The Orca will continue to be offered in Euskaltel-Euskadi orange team livery for die-hard fans. Both colorways are available in the top-of-the-line Race level frameset and are available as upgrades to any of our stock Orca complete bike builds for a $500 upgrade cost. Along with the exclusive colors, the Race level frame offers a 100g weight savings over the Performance level frame. It also comes with the Orca Monolink seatpost as standard equipment. The Monolink system is supremely light and easy to set, offering more fore-aft saddle adjustment as well.
