SRAM Prototype Cyclocross Drivetrain Spotted

Jeremy Power’s bike was seen donning SRAM’s prototype 1×11 drivetrain at last weekend’s cyclocross event in Hendersonville, North Carolina.

The ‘skunk works" step-up was last seen onboard Ryan Trebon’s bike at this year’s Cincy3 Cyclocross Festival – back in October.

At close inspection, the cable entry point is seen in a rearward facing position. No doubt this is what explains the large loop of cable housing. However, in all good likelihood, when the drivetrain reaches production, it will incorporate a pulley wheel from the XX1 mountain bike derailleur in order to guide the cable into place more directly – along with cable entry that’s top facing.

Full disc brake set-up too !
