In celebration of this year’s Tour de France Grand Depart in Yorkshire this summer, Schwalbe has launched a range of limited edition road tires.
Called the "Etape", the range consists of the following three tires:
Durano S Etape (above) – designed to be used for "racing" or special events, they feature the lightness weight with the least rolling resistance of the range.
Available in black, blue, red, silver and white stripes in either 23 or 25.
Durano Plus Etape – The Plus Etape features maximum puncture protection ideal for winter rides. Schwalbe says the Durano Plus has the same SmartGuard puncture protection found in the Marathon Plus, but isn’t as thick. Available in black with the standard 23 and 25 sizes.
Durano Etape – According Schwalbe, no other racing tire lasts as long as the Durano Etape. The Dual Compound offers longevity and high level of grip in wet winter conditions. And, the added RaceGuard puncture protection belt will safeguard from punctures as well. Only available in black, in 23 or 25 widths.
The limited edition tires will feature ‘ETAPE’ in yellow on the sidewalls in keeping with the Tour de France. And, they will only be available until the end of July.
