Adidas Flaunts New Gravel-Specific Cycling Shoe

Adidas is flaunting its latest gravel-specific cycling shoe that’s simply called the Gravel Shoe.

The new shoe features a 2-bolt SPD compatible sole, along with classic lacing and an upper that comprises an internal sock construction that’s designed to offer improved protection against the elements.

Other features that highlight the shoe include TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) “pods” on the sole for easy walking and Adidas’s signature 3-stripe reflective design for a touch of visibility in low light riding conditions.

Sustainability was also a key feature when designing the Gravel Shoe, which is made with Primegreen, a series of high-performance recycled materials, featuring an upper made with at least 50% recycled content, with no virgin polyester being used.

“Our latest Gravel Shoe was created to offer accessible, aesthetically versatile footwear and apparel to a rapidly growing generation of new cyclists,” says Adidas.

Priced at $170, the Gravel Shoe is available in two colorways, a blue, purple and orange scheme, or simple Core Black.
