Assos has introduced a new women’s specific kit called the DYORA RS, touting it as the Swiss brands “lightest, fastest fabrics to date.”
The DYORA RS kit comprises two short-sleeve jerseys, bibshorts, socks and a cap, aimed at bolstering the aerodynamic signature of the female body with a latest innovations in textiles and design.
“The DYORE RS race platform for women is engineered with the latest textile innovations and comfort-driven details integral to ASSOS, now patterned with a female-specific aero fit for racing and training,” says Assos.
The front panel of the DYORA RS jersey features a highly elastic 3D knit fabric that’s been developed with breathability and moisture transfer in mind.
At the rear, the jersey incorporates Assos’ Stabilizer textile, which prevents the pockets from sagging with its limited vertical-stretch design, while its Push Pull fabric provides excellent UV protection (UPF 50+), as well as quick-drying properties.
In terms of fit, the DYORA RS jersey is cut to move like a second-skin, mirroring the rider’s body in the most aerodynamic profile as possible, along with finishing details that include a bonded camlock zipper, taped waist and raw-cut sleeves.
In the back, Assos has added its Triple Ramp Pockets, allowing riders to “lock” their cargo, as well as a light elastic hem that keeps the jersey securely in place.
The DYORA RS bibshorts feature Assos’ A-Lock Engineering design, wherein the bracing system ensures that the silky-smooth Type.441 textile remains in full-wrap mode, giving the rider’s leg muscles a boost with a smooth compressive wrap.
This new platform also holds the DYORA RS pad in place thanks to the company’s ergoBox stitch pattern, while the external rollBar bib straps keep the rider’s sit bones fully supported when in and out of the saddle.
The DYORA RS kit is rounded out with ultralight socks that feature a buttery-soft microfiber that’s blended with Lycra to deliver a light compressive hold along the foot, ankle and lower leg courtesy of a seamless construction.
From there, Assos targeted the arch, wrapping it with a ribbed band of airy mesh for further support and boosted breathability, along with a contrasting band along the Achilles for a clean finish.
Similarly, the DYORA RS cap features a highly breathable design such as mesh side panels and a terry lining that draws moisture off of the rider’s forehead, while an adjustable element-shielding brim, light elastic at the rear for a perfect fit and bold line graphics further highlight the cap.
