Assos’ Mille GTC Löwenkralle Jacket C2 brings versatility to a new level, easily transforming itself from a lightweight, water-repellant jacket into a handlebar bag in a matter of seconds, making it ideal for gravel cyclists and bikepackers alike.
The jacket is made from a new fabric that Assos describes as a “Pave Rip-Stop Woven Textile”, which claims to be both windproof and waterproof, as well as abrasion-resistant.
Additionally, the front panel is made from a fabric called Breath, which as its name implies offers increased breathability, while Type.OF11 fabric and Assos’ RX EVO Light material are used to ensure high-stretch properties and bolster insulation along the arms.
When converted into its handlebar bag form, the jacket is ideal for carrying a smartphone and perhaps some small items like a couple of energy bars, things that might prove essential when tackling the great expanse.
The $390 Mille GTC Löwenkralle Jacket C2 is available in a range of sizes from XS up to TIR (an 2XL but wider) for men only, while a women’s version is in the works.
