Basso Thrills with New Signature Series Act 1 Diamante SV and Diamante Road Bikes

Basso is thrilling enthusiasts with its latest Signature Series Act 1, special edition versions of its Diamante SV and Diamante road bikes that cull together bespoke components from Shimano, Fulcrum and CeramicSpeed to create a limited edition capsule collection.

“The Basso Signature Series – Act I is an ode to cycling and its culture. A very personal representation of our passion for innovation and aesthetics in the pursu- it of the best riding experience. The result of a tight collaboration between Alcide Basso and his young team of professionals, to create a unique project capable of challenging the ordinary. This capsule collection will be available on both Diamante and Diamante SV for a limited time and in limited numbers due to its uniquely complex painting production process,” says Basso.

All things being Italian, naturally the bikes are treated to a special paint scheme, in this case, a reflective chrome effect that gradually conquers the taupe base-color of the frame, resulting in a bold delivery of Italianate meets Minimalism – think Pittura Metafisica.

The Diamante SV is Basso’s answer to aerodynamics, a frame that’s designed to cheat the wind, while still embracing traditional lines and geometry. On the other hand, the Diamante is the Classist’s dream, a design that remains faithful to the storied Italian brand’s DNA with a modern refresh.

The bikes are offered to two guises, which are split between either a Shimano Dura Ace Di2, or Ultegra Di2 groupset, along with Basso’s Levita integrated cockpit and second generation 3B Clamp System seatpost.

Limited to just a small number of bikes, here’s how the models breakdown.
