Organizers for the vintage cycling event, Eroica California, announced this week, that Breaking Away star, Dennis Christopher, will be attending their April event.
According to Eroica California, Christopher will attend a VIP reception preceding the showing of the film, followed by a Q&A period, which is being sponsored by Masi Bicycles.
The next day, Christopher will ride a section of the event on a vintage Masi bike similar to the one his character Dave Stoller rode in the movie.

VIP RECEPTION, “BREAKING AWAY” MOVIE AND DENNIS CHRISTOPHER
We are excited to announce that Eroica California will partner with Masi Bicycles to bring the iconic cycling movie, Breaking Away, to our festival. In addition, Masi will bring Dennis Christopher as special guest to participate in our weekend events.
Eroica California, the City of San Luis Obispo and Masi Bicycles will be hosting a special event VIP reception, movie viewing and Q&A with special event guest; Dennis Christopher on Friday, April 8, 2016, at the Fremont Theater in downtown San Luis Obispo.
Attendees of Eroica California are invited to a special VIP reception preceding the showing of the movie, Breaking Away. Following the movie viewing, Dennis Christopher will be on hand to answer questions submitted by VIP reception attendees. VIP Tickets are available to participants of Eroica California, their friends and family, and include entry into the movie.
Of equally exciting note, Dennis will be attending the bike festival on Saturday April 9th as a guest of Masi Bicycles, signing autographs and helping Masi to select and present a special Concours d’Elegance Award for the “Best Vintage Masi of Show”. On Sunday, Dennis will join the ranks of the ‘heroic’ and ride a section of Eroica California on a vintage Masi bike.

To attend the VIP Reception, tickets can be purchased on the Hospice SLO County Eventbrite page. Tickets will be $75 for Eroica participants, $100 for their friends and family or others not riding. The VIP Reception is hosted by Masi Bicycles and the City of San Luis Obispo and will include drinks, appetizers and movie admission.
