Campagnolo Lifts the Curtains on New Ghibli 0.9 Disc Wheel

Campagnolo has lifted the curtains on its new Ghibli 0.9 disc wheel, which is set to make its debut at the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships in Scotland next month under the auspices of the Italian National Track Team.

In keeping with the trend of wider wheels, the Ghibli 0.9 features an internal rim width of 25mm and an external width of 27.4mm, which is compatible with clincher and tubeless tires only, ranging from 23c to 28c.

Why the switch from tubular to clincher and tubeless tires? Campagnolo says the latter provides a significant reduction in rolling resistance.

Additionally, the Ghibli 0.9 spins on Campagnolo’s new C.U.L.T. (Ceramic Ultimate Level Technology) bearings in a cup-and-cone system for reduced friction.

All in, Campagnolo says the Ghibli 0.9 tips the scales at 990 grams, which fetches a hefty €3,418 (about $3,750.00).
