CeramicSpeed recently added a new Oversized Pulley Wheel System to its arsenal of drivetrain goodies, specially developed for Shimano’s new Dura Ace 9100 and 9150 groupsets.
Developed and designed entirely by CeramicSpeed, the company says the new Oversized Pulley Wheel System was created “to further optimize the drivetrain performance of Shimano’s latest groupsets”, with everything from the bearings to the cage being made from the highest quality materials – in-house at their facility in Denmark.
According to CeramicSpeed, the oversized aluminum pulley wheels can be fitted with either the brand’s standard or coated bearings, which they claim can reduce drivetrain friction between 30% to 60%, and even more in some cases.
In addition, the new OSPW System has a claimed life-span that can last 3 to 5 times longer than the standard pulleys that accompany the Shimano groupsets.
The Shimano OSPW System comes in two different systems, one compatible with 10/11 speed mechanical and electronic Ultegra/Dura Ace (6800/7800/7900/7970/9000/9070) groupsets, while the other is compatible with Shimano’s latest Dura Ace 9100/9150 series.
While the first option features a set of two 17-tooth pulleys, the OSPW System for Shimano 9100/9150 features an optimal 13/19-tooth combination that was specially developed for the new Dura Ace rear derailleur.
The coated OSPW System retails for $599, while the non-coated version sells for $499.
