“Chase The Light” with MAAP’s New Road Apparel Collection

MAAP has announced its new season road collection that features the Team Bib Evo Cargo and a host of updated classics with a call upon riders to get out on their bikes for 12 hours during the week of the March Equinox. To support the launch and mark the upcoming seasonal transition, MAAP will be encouraging riders to “Chase The Light” with a series of rides around the March equinox.

“As cyclists, we plan our lives and rides with a keen awareness of sunrise and sunset. The arrival of the equinox on 20th March marks the time when riders in both the Southern and Northern Hemisphere will experience an equal 12 hours of daylight and night, bringing a natural opportunity to reflect on this relationship and springboard into the season ahead. The days are extending for some and shortening for others, but during this week the global cycling community is in balance,” says the Australian brand.

The new season road collection sees the debut of a much-requested update to the Team Bib Evo, MAAP’s best-selling and performance-proven signature bib, along with the new Team Bib Evo Cargo, which for the first time on an MAAP road bib features functional dual-side pockets.

The minimalist pocket design is engineered for maximal performance utility. The dual-side pockets provide optimal stretch, recovery and shape retention; the new design is ideal for loading with extra fuel and other ride essentials for long days in the saddle. The bib shorts also pair with a MAAP Transit or Lifestyle tee for casual rides.

Available as both a bib short and bib tight the Team Bib Evo Cargo features MAAP’s signature 3D Thermo Moulded multi-density chamois, moisture-wicking, abrasion-resistant fabrics and seamless elastic straps matched to a high airflow mesh back panel for ultimate comfort across a range of temperatures.

As with the original Team Bib Evo, all fabrics are Bluesign® approved, meaning they have been manufactured to strict safety and environmental standards, ensuring they minimize the impact on people and the planet.

Also being released is a selection of MAAP customer favorites in new, soft earthy hues and classic tones, specifically designed to be matched with both the new range and existing pieces in the MAAP catalog. Products receiving this updated palette include the iconic ‘Evade 2.0’ range, MAAP’s range of ‘Embark’ merino jerseys, Draft windproof jackets and vests as well as the existing Team Bib Evo and select accessories.

For the “12 hours of light” Equinox Ride Series, riders globally will be invited to join MAAP in riding the full 12 hours of light in one day or across several days alongside MAAP partners and ambassadors at a selection of events around the world, including Melbourne, London, Amsterdam, Berlin, Los Angeles, Vancouver, Miami, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and more. Riders elsewhere will be encouraged to undertake an epic 12-hour ride or series of rides totaling in 12-hours of ride time, either in one go or as a team in a relay and share their story with the MAAP community. MAAP will also be partnering with Strava for an Equinox challenge, pushing riders to complete 12 hours of riding across 10 days.
