Classified has announced its latest partnership with Storck, with plans to equip the German boutique brand’s newly launched GRIX.2 gravel bike with its innovative wireless gearing system and carbon wheelsets.
Classified’s drivetrain replaces the traditional front derailleur with a wireless, 2-speed system, which is integrated into the rear wheel hub, resulting in instantaneous gear changes that’s compatible with 11 and 12 speed rear derailleurs, earning the company both the Eurobike Gold Award and the Design and Innovation Award this year.
“For me, Classified’s Powershift hub represents the next technological step in shifting systems because it combines advantages in terms of weight, maintenance and shifting precision. In the sporty sector, Powershift sets a new standard especially for shifting at full power. Instant shifting makes it possible to keep up speed even during abrupt changes of surface or gradient on off-road terrain, and to give an outstanding riding experience. Additionally, by using hub gears and eliminating the front derailleur in combination with our new integrated frameset, we reduce wind resistance to keep you riding fast even when graveling,” says Markus Storck.
“It is an honor to collaborate with Storck, a notorious champion of innovation within the cycling industry,” adds Mathias Plouvier, CEO of Classified Cycling.
This announcement comes on the heels of Classified’s recent partnership with Officine Mattio and M83 to equip their gravel bikes with the Belgian component specialist’s Powershift system.
With already more than 200 dealers in Europe and the USA, Classified’s dealer network is growing fast. Furthermore, the number of partnerships with bike brands is also growing rapidly, with Storck being the 8th to partner with Classified.
The GRIX.2 gravel bike combines the Classified Powershift system with SRAM’s gravel-specific Force XPLR groupset that will sell for € 6,399.
