Colnago is celebrating this year’s Giro d’Italia with a special edition C68 frameset called the Gioiello, which as its name implies, is bejeweled with gold-leaf paint throughout, including the saddle and handlebar tape.
Other details that ennoble the Gioiello are the golden finish rear derailleur cage with oversized pulleys and the handlebar caps, as well as the thru-axle caps, while the Italian brand’s signature Ace of Clubs and hand-assembled wheel spokes are also emblazoned in gold.
Finally, the element that links most directly with the Trofeo Senza Fine is the gold leaf 3D-printed bottle cage, which incorporates the spirals of the Corsa Rosa symbol.
Limited to just 50, Colnago will officially showcase the C68 Gioiello at the start of the 106th edition of the Italian Grand Tour on May 8.
