Colnago Opens Flagship Store in Abu Dhabi

Colnago has opened its first flagship store in Abu Dhabi, showcasing a 70-year history of the vaunted Italian brand in a 10,000 square-foot showroom that includes a cafe.

“The new store celebrates our rich history of making world-class bikes with unique furniture, works of art, highly technological installations and, obviously, Colnago’s current bike collection, as well as some historical models. Guests will also enjoy the world’s first Colnago Caffè,” says Colnago.

The new store is located in the area of Hudayriyat Island, which boasts 40 kilometers of illuminated cycle paths, making it the reference point for all things cycling in the city of Abu Dhabi.

“As a brand that prides itself in creating superior experiences through expertly crafted bicycles, the launch of our new store in Abu Dhabi represents another significant milestone in our journey at Colnago as we continue to build the brand worldwide,” says Colnago CEO Nicola Rosin.

“Colnago is more than a bicycle brand and this store has been carefully planned and designed to showcase the best of Colnago’s products and our rich heritage that we are proud of while offering distinctive hospitality experiences. We hope having this physical space in a city that is growing rapidly will help meet the needs of cycling enthusiasts in Abu Dhabi, enabling them to experience first-hand the products that have made us the ace of cycling,” he adds.

In addition to the Rosin and other company VIP’s, guests also included the entire roster and staff of UAE Team Emirates and UAE Team ADQ, amongst them Tadej Pogačar – two-time winner of the Tour de France and of the most recent Il Lombardia among other races – Juan Ayuso – the excellent third position in the last edition of the Vuelta a España – Matteo Trentin, Joao Almeida and Yousif Mirza, along with Sofia Bertizzolo, Laura Tomasi, Eugenia Bujak and Safiya Al Sayegh.

The new Colnago store features the following:

  • A display of Colnago bikes for sale, along with an exhibition of some of the historic models of the Cambiago house;
  • A café, the first Colnago Caffè in the world, where visitors can taste Italian dishes and watch the most important races on a dedicated large screen;
  • Advanced technological installations including a sliding screen that reconstructs the history of Colnago’s historical models, a three-dimensional configurator on a 4.8 x 2.7-meter screen to design your own bike, and a cutting-edge bike fitting system;
  • A unique series of contemporary works of art, designed entirely by the Spanish interior architect Pablo Paniagua and his team.
