Cowboy Goes All-Terrain with New Cross and Cross ST eBikes

Cowboy has decided to go all-terrain with the introduction of its new Cross and Cross ST eBikes, a new stride for the Belgian brand that’s been mostly turning out pedelecs aimed at cruising the tarmac alone.

The Cross models aren’t just about rugged looks and all-terrain capability, instead, they’re a thoughtful demonstration of user-focused design thanks to a removable battery pack that boasts up to 50% more capacity than previous models, achieving an impressive range of up to 75 miles (120km) on a single charge via a Gates belt-driven 250W motor with Cowboy’s Adaptivepower tech on-board to help maintain speed in the face of hills or headwinds, while riding comfort is enhanced by a front suspension fork and beefy 60mm tires for both road and off-road pursuits. Also, stopping power comes courtesy of a Tektro disc braking system.

Elsewhere, the Cross bikes are treated to GPS tracking along with Google Maps and clean air mapping, with apps available for Apple Watches and WearOS wearables. There’s also wireless charging for one’s phone, as well as a Check My Bike diagnostic tool.

Additionally, Cowboy has also added Strava integration so riders can map their best performances, while the “live challenges” function can track speeds, calorie consumption and power output, as well as set targets for new goals.

What differentiates the Cross from the Cross ST?

The Cross features a traditional double-diamond frame, while the Cross ST has a step-through design, thus for the suffix.

The standard price for the bikes is €3,999, however, for a limited time, they are available at an “early bird” price of €3,499.
