Crankbrothers Sweeten Things Up with New Candy Lace Shoe

Crankbrothers has decided to sweeten things up a bit with the launch of its new Candy Lace shoe, offering a simple, straightforward pair of kicks that are designed to meet the needs of gravel grinders and MTB’ers alike.

Designed to be the perfect match for the Candy pedal, the Candy Lace features a durable synthetic upper, a reliable lace closure and a nominally stiff nylon sole, as well as a lugged rubber outsole that offers plenty of grip when it comes to footwork out on the expanse.

Additionally, the Candy Lace has plenty of ventilation courtesy of front-toe and side-to-side perforations. Plus, the shoe is treated to rubber bumpers and extra TPU reinforcements across the toe and sides of the upper to protect against scrapes, while the sole gets its durability from a rubber compound Crankbrothers calls “MC1 Match”.

Regarding cleat placement, Crankbrothers was sure to give the Candy Lace lots of adjustability via an extended 35mm cutout that’s designed for 2-bolt SPD cleats.

The new Candy Lace sells for $160, which is available in sizes ranging from 35 to 49 (half sizes in 37 to 47), with three color options, black on black with a natural gum rubber sole, dark on light blue with a matching blue sole, or white on grey with a grey rubber sole.
