Originally designed as a test prototype for this year’s Tour de France champion Tadej Pogačar, DMT has made its KR1 Lace cycling shoe available to the rest of us mortals.
”With these fantastic shoes, I felt really good throughout the Tour. It was a magical experience and I am proud to have worn them also because I think no one else had laces like me,” says Pogačar.
“When you first wear them the feeling is completely different than other shoes, but then, it’s when you start riding that you really enjoy them. I have to say they are the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn. There is no pain in the feet, which is very important for cyclists, I’m really happy to have them,” adds the Slovenian rider.
The KR1 Lace features a similar one piece, seamless upper as the Italian brand’s standard KR1, while reinterpreting the classic lace closure for even more comfort, lightweight and breathability thanks to the shoe’s exclusive knit construction, glove like fit and solid energy transfer courtesy of DMT’s anatomic carbon outsole.
The KR1 Lace is available in a range of sizes from 37 to 47, with half size in 37.5 to 45.5, for $499.90.
