Ducati Set to Launch a New Range of Electric Road, Gravel and Mountain Bikes

Ducati is set to launch a new range of electric road, gravel and mountain bikes this spring in collaboration with the Italian holding company Gruppo Zecchetto, tapping input from such notable pros as Vincenzo Nibali and Elia Viviani for the road and gravel segments, along with downhill cyclist Lorenzon Suding for the MTB models.

“After concluding my professional career, I was looking for a project that could excite me and represent a new challenge. Supporting the Cycling Project is a great source of pride for me,” says Viviani, “The long-term goal is to bring Ducati’s sporting soul into cycling, creating bicycles that embody the brand’s values and the essence of the sport.”

“I’m thrilled to be part of this ambitious project,” adds Nibali, “I’ve always had a great passion for motorsport, and Ducati has always been a benchmark for performance, innovation, and design. Contributing to the growth of such an iconic brand in the cycling world is truly an honor.”

Gruppo Zecchetto is known for its premium cycling footwear and apparel companies, DMT and Alè Cycling, as well as its carbon and composite facility Diamant Compositi.

“With this new project, we aim to strengthen our presence in the cycling sector,” said Claudio Domenicali, Ducati Motor Holding CEO. “The collaboration with Diamant — together with the contribution of Italian cycling champions such as Vincenzo, Elia and Lorenzo — allows us to develop high-performance bicycles designed to offer enthusiasts a level of quality and excitement comparable to that of our motorcycles. This step comes after a journey built with Thok, whom I wish to thank for the valuable work done together over the years.”

“We are proud to stand alongside Ducati in this new chapter dedicated to the world of bicycles. The collaboration between our companies is rooted in shared values and the pursuit of excellence. Putting our cycling expertise and structure at the service of a brand like Ducati represents an extraordinary opportunity to create products that embody outstanding performance and unique style,” says Philippe Zecchetto, CEO of Diamant Srl.

According to Ducati, the new partnership will also include a line of accessories and technical apparel dedicated to each specialty, specifically designed for the new Ducati bikes.

Ducati previously entered the electric bike market in partnership with THOK back in 2018, with models eventually making their way to these shores in 2020.
