Easton has announced the launch of a new series of stems specifically designed to work with Garmin computers, along with two new innovative carbon and alloy seatposts.
Capitalizing on Garmin’s market-dominating range of cycling computers, Easton has created a larger “boom” diameter for its EA90, EA70 and EA50 stems, while also reducing weight and increasing stiffness thanks to a new machining process and use of higher quality alloys.
In addition, the company has also created a custom computer mount that’s compatible with all three stems, resulting in cleaner lines and improved aerodynamics.
“With lengths ranging from 70mm to 130mm, and 0° and +/- 7° rise options, we can accommodate fits for all sizes of frames and riders. We shaved our new EA90 down to 120 grams for a 100mm stem and, with weights like these, we surpass much of the alloy and carbon competition in the market, while giving you the durability, confidence and control you expect”, says Easton.
The redesigned EC70 SL Seatpost takes Easton’s superlight unidirectional carbon and applies the brand’s pending ISA technology (Independent Saddle Adjustment), which allows for completely independent fore-aft adjustment and saddle adjustment.
For instance, with the 2 pitch adjustment bolts, the saddle angle gets locked into place similar to adjusting limit screws. And, unlike single bolt designs, the mechanism provides more definitive adjustability and security.
The EA90 Seatpost receives the same clamping system as the EC70 SL, allowing for positioning without the need to undo rail clamps for each tweak, while the ISA technology provides same level of security of a standard two-bolt system, along with independent adjustment that other designs lack.
