Fat Chance has reprised its famous Slim Chance road bike with a limited edition collection made from non-other than the workhorse of steel – True Temper.
The original Slim Chance was introduced 25 years ago by Chris Chance, marking one of the first high-end, TIG-welded, production steel road bikes that was built in America.
The new Slim Chance carries on that tradition by still being hand-built in America, using the same proven geometry of its predecessor. In addition, the collection is being offered in four 4 new color ways and paint fade schemes.
Fat Chance says its now taking pre-orders with a decline of November 15th, with lucky new owners receiving their bikes in late January 2017.
The retail price for the Slim Chance frameset is $2395.

Slim Chance x True Temper Ltd Edition
Chris Chance cut his frame building teeth making custom road frames way back in 1977, over the years he learned a thing or two about making the perfect road frame. By 1991, Chris took everything he’d learned from making mountain bikes at Fat City and applied it to a new generation of road bike.
The result was the original Slim Chance which set a new benchmark for steel road bikes as one of the very first production TIG welded road frames.
To celebrate the long partnership with True Temper that lead to many of Fat City’s best known bikes including the Slim, Yo Eddy and Wicked we bring you this limited edition True Temper version of the Slim Chance. With True Temper sadly exiting the bike business in the near future this could be your last opportunity to own a Slim Chance made out of the finest OX Platinum USA made steel tubing!
