Fizik has launched its latest road-specific cycling shoe called the Tempo Decos, boasting a minimalist design that’s equally at home on the cobbles as it is on the tarmac, thanks to the Italian brand’s R2 carbon sole and a new polyurethane-laminated upper with ventilation galore.
“The Temp Decos epitomizes our famed minimalist design at its finest. For these shoes we took a disciplined approach toward simplicity to deliver the pure road riding experience you expect from us, from epic, big-mountain rides to granfondos and beyond,” says Fizik.
Other features that highlight the Tempo Decos include an asymmetrical closure system that’s designed to ensure a “simple, hotspot-free and uncompromising ergonomic fit”, courtesy of a single BOA Li2 dial, providing bi-directional, micro-adjustability and a lower stack for an effortless, precise fit.
Additionally, Fizik’s R2 carbon sole is both lightweight and stiff (stiffness index of 10), to deliver a solid power transfer, while a wide vented inlet and deep internal channeling provide optimal ventilation.
Moreover, the cleat has been positioned further back on the Tempo Decos, with the goal of optimizing pedaling efficiency and reducing knee compression, as well as allowing the rider to assume a more aggressive, aerodynamic riding position.
The Tempo Decos sells for $299.99, which is available in four colorways (white, black, purple, iridescent blue and black), in sizes ranging from 36 to 48 (half sizes in 37 to 46).
