After watching Team Visma-Lease a Bike riders don slick new lids for most of the season, Giro is finally making its new Eclipse Pro helmet available to the rest of the cycling masses.
“Born in the Giro Lab and ridden to victory by countless pros, the New Eclipse Pro is the pinnacle helmet for riders obsessed with speed. Designed to optimize aerodynamics, ventilation, and safety for long rides and peak efforts,” boasts the Italian band.
Following extensive CFD modeling and wide-tunnel testing, the new Eclipse Pro replaces the Eclipse Spherical, featuring a new silhouette that Giro claims increases aerodynamic efficiency by 17% compared to its out-going counterpart, along with improved ventilation courtesy of 15 vents and a redesigned internal airflow system that’s designed to better manage heat and perspiration.
Elsewhere, the Eclipse Pro is treated to Giro’s Roc Loc 5.5 Air retention system, offering micro-adjustability, while impact protection is provided via a polycarbonate roll cage, EPS foam the MIPS Spherical technology.
All in, Giro says the Eclipse Pro tips the scales at a svelte 280 grams in a size medium, a pretty impressive feat for any helmet, let alone an aero-focussed model.
The Eclipse Pro is slated to go on sale in February 2026, with pricing to be announced.
