HJC Offers New Flagship IBEX 2.0 Road Helmet

While the HJC brand continues to evade these shores, race fans here in the USA have been spotting their stylish helmets on the crowns of WorldTour teams like Lotto-Soudal for years.

For this year, the German brand has unveiled a new flagship model called the IBEX 2.0, featuring cutting-edge aesthetics in a lightweight aero design.

The IBEX 2.0 is HJC’s most sophisticated helmet to date, which was developed in their own wind tunnel laboratory using extensive Venturi Dynamics testing, making it the ideal choice for the cyclist who’s looking for a helmet with optimal wind cheating capabilities in a lightweight design that affords superior ventilation.

The IBEX 2.0 comprises no fewer than 16 vents, an adjustable occipital cradle, a goggle mount, strap splitters and antibacterial X-Static pads in a design that weighs just 200 grams.

The adjustable occipital cradle comprises HJC’s SELFIT technology, which is an automatic self-adjusting fitting system.

For instance, once the helmet fit is set to the cyclist’s head it doesn’t require further adjustment. Even when the cyclist’s head is moving during riding, the SELFIT system automatically adjusts the gap in fit.

Additionally, HJC’s five snap adjustment system provides perfect positioning and fit for all different types of head shapes and sizes.

The IBEX 2.0 is further highlighted by HJC’s COOLPATH system, which is a new patented technology whereby replacing the inner padding allows cool air to flow better around the cyclist’s head, thus improving ventilation and comfort.

The IBEX 2.0 sells for 249,00€, which can be purchased through a number of distributors around the world, with the exception of the USA of course.

Hopefully at some point that will change for us yanks.
